The Vernon Towne Theatre originally opened in 1929 as a dance hall, and converted to showing movies in 1938 in its beautiful art deco style building. Over the past almost 100 years, the theatre has changed hands several times and its name was changed to The Towne Theatre. It has become a beloved institution in the region, holding memories from generations of Vernonites.
As an Non-Profit we strive to make our ticket and concession affordable for everyone. You can now buy tickets online or directly at the theatre during our operating hours!
